Our experienced teachers are all university trained in music and their respective instruments. It is our passion to help you develop and hone your skills through one-on-one instruction. We create customized classes for all ages from toddlers to adults.
ABOUT THE DRUM KIT
A drum kit is an essential part of the rhythm and melody of any song. You’ll see some performers have a larger kit than others, but bigger isn’t always better! We’ll help you define each part of the kit and understand its importance to the style and rhythm of music you play. The parts of the kit include:
- Bass drum
- Hanging toms
- Ride cymbal
- Floor tom
- Hi-hat
- Splash cymbal
- Snare drum
- Crash cymbal
- China cymbal
PRIVATE DRUM LESSONS
Along with education about the drum kit itself, you’ll learn many aspects of drumming basics including:
- Timing, feel, song structure and other foundational skills
- Different styles of music per student request (jazz, rock, funk, etc.)
- Ear training
- Sheet reading skills
- Improvisation
