Private Lessons

  • 30 minute lessons $150.00 per month $1500.00 (Sept-June)
  • 45 minute lesson $234.00 per month $2340.00 (Sept- June)
  • 60 minute lesson $312.00 per month $3120.00 (Sept-June)

Toronto Faculty of Music is also a supporter of the Etobicoke Jazz Band and the Toronto All-Star Big Band.

Preschool tuition is payable in full or in two payments.

You may also pay securely online for private lessons.

ATTENDANCE

  • Regular and punctual attendance is required to ensure the student’s musical progress. Please be sure to schedule appointments and other activities at times that do not conflict with the regular lesson.
  • All missed lessons will be charged.
  • Lessons cancelled for reason of illness (24 hours’ notice) will be made up when time permits.
  • Lessons must be made up in the current year and will be cancelled after that time.
  • Make-up lessons are NOT available during the Summer School Program in lieu of regular lessons.
  • Please be sure to call if you will be away.
  • Do not rely on your teacher to pass on the message!

  • If the school cancels a lesson because of teacher absence or bad weather, the lesson will be made up.
  • The school reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach lessons.
  • If a teacher is ill and the school cannot arrange a substitute, any missed lessons will be made up.
  • A missed lesson cannot be applied as a credit towards future lessons.
  • There are no make-up lessons for group lessons.

POLICIES

Toronto Faculty of Music reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. In such cases all unused tuition fees will be refunded.

  1. Pre-registration for returning students occurs in the month of May; general registration opens June 1. Returning private lesson students are given the first opportunity to secure their instructor, lesson days and times for the following year, based on instructors’ availability.
  2. Lesson days and times are not held over from year to year, but returning students will be given the first opportunity to sign up for lessons.
  3. Tuition does not cover the cost of music or books.
  4. Students may enroll in lessons at any time of the year, and the fees will be prorated accordingly.
  5. A beginner instrument will be provided by Toronto Faculty of Music if necessary for a four week period. After this period it is required that the student has a suitable instrument.
  6. A rental program is available for all instruments taught at Toronto Faculty of Music.
  7. Media Release: The school is hereby granted permission to take photographs and audio-visual recordings of the students in lessons, recitals, and other school related events to use in brochures, websites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for the school to copyright such photographs in its name.
